On this weeks episode of Secretly Timid the group discuss the Unicorn meat boycott in Germany, a controversial Atheist ad in Fort Worth, 5 things you love to discuss that no one cares about, a food recall, and The Walking Dead season finale. The group also act out a funny facebook fight between Jon and Mickey C from episode 9 and share a funny auto-tune tune courtesy of Paul (who is out sick).

Episode 32 : Gate Rape

Artist Andy Amato joins the cast once again on a special episode. Topics include Thanksgiving, The Walking Dead episode 4, a TSA pat down which leaves a bladder cancer survivor soaked in his own urine, a heroic dog accidentally being euthanized, a cruel al Qaeda terrorist plot, and narwhals. Yes, narwhals. Later Andy, Danielle, and Jon discuss the filming of Eric Himan’s music video “Wish you Would” which they filmed over the weekend. The video was directed by Luis Midence.

Open Mic with Secretly Timid : Barbara Vance

Diane and Danielle interview author Barbara Vance, whose collection of children’s poems Suzie Bitner was Afraid of the Drain is receiving rave reviews and is perfect for kids and kids at heart.  You can see Barbara this Thursday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m. at the Jonsson Performance Hall at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Barbara Vance is an author and illustrator. She lives in Dallas, Texas where she enjoys taking long walks on warm, breezy days. She has been writing since she was just over three inches tall (it’s a long story). Now a comfortable five foot four inches tall, she is happy to state that her love of words has grown as much as she has. Barbara spends a lot of time writing, drawing, reading, and teaching at the University of Texas at Dallas.
